The Diamond is one of the rarest item in Minecraft.

Diamonds are one of the most sought-after items in Minecraft, due to their use in crafting the strongest tools, weapons, and armor available in the game. Diamondsare also one of the rarest items in Minecraft, found only in the deepest levels of rock. This makes diamonds extremely difficult to find and severely limits players' supplies of diamonds

Obtaining Edit

Chests Edit

Diamonds can be found in stronghold chests, nether fortresses, desert temples, village blacksmiths chests and jungle temple chests in groups of 1-3, chest minecarts in abandoned mineshafts in group of 1-2 and in End City chests in groups of 2-7.

Mining Edit

A Diamond Ore can be mined with Iron or Diamond Pickaxes only. If it is mined with a regular Iron or Diamond Pickaxe it will only drop a single Diamond. If the pickaxe is enchanted with Fortune, it can drop an extra diamond per level of fortune, allowing for a maximum of 4 with Fortune III. If the ore is mined with a pickaxe with the Silk Touch enchantment it will drop itself rather than a diamond. (this ore will drop nothing if mined with a Stone or weaker pickaxe.)
